Global Internship Program (GIP): Science Workshop

Science Workshop Logo
The Internship: This opportunity allows students interested in education or STEM fields to work at a science and technology school in Hong Kong.

Number of Spots Available: 2-3

Duration: 8 weeks

Start Date: Mid-June 2018

The Organization: Science Workshop is built around the constructivist learning philosophy, where children learn by active participation, rather than a passive reception of knowledge.  They run hands-on classes for children covering all areas of science and technology, including the three big classical sciences and their related sub-fields, as well as the latest technology like coding and 3-D printing.

The Location: Science Workshop is located in the heart of Central, Hong Kong's bustling commercial center, near convenient public transportation and with a wealth of educational, cultural, dining, shopping, and entertainment options nearby.  Hong Kong is an amazing city - it's vibrant, busy, and incredibly safe, with a fantastic array of things to do, including dining and shopping.  There are several places to see, from amazing vistas and crowded street markets to quiet islands and peaceful hikes to secluded beaches.
