Program Description:
The College of Arts and Sciences has two approved program options in India. However, if you find that the program does not meet your academic needs, you might consider petitioning to a non-approved program.

Don’t know where to start? The list below is intended to serve as a launching point to your research into other study abroad programs in India. Each petition will be evaluated individually to make sure that the program is appropriate for the student’s course of study and academic success. Students may look beyond this list in order to find a program that meets their academic needs. In researching programs, please keep the following criteria in mind:
  • the program’s curricular offerings must be in a field that is contained in the College of Arts and Sciences
  • a minimum of four CUs must be transferred back to Penn; students are required to take at least one regional language course
  • an internship should not form a substantial part of the program as students will not receive academic credit
More information on the petition process can be found on the Penn Abroad website.
