Program Snapshot

Global Internship Program (GIP): Amasia

The Internship: Students interested in technology and cross-border venture capital are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to intern at a firm in Asia.

Number of Spots Available: 2

Duration: 8-10 weeks

Start Date: Mid-June

The Organization: Amasia is a crossborder venture capital firm with offices in San Francisco and Singapore.  The firm invests in early-stage technology companies that operate in the U.S.-Asia corridor (either U.S. companies that seek to enter Asian markets, or Asian businesses that benefit from U.S. best practices or wish to expand their presence in the U.S.).

The Location: Singapore, while physically small, is a giant in the global economy, serving as Southeast Asia's most modern city for more than 100 years.  The city is a blend of Malay, Chinese, Arab, Indian, and English cultures, languages, and religions, with nearly 25% of its population made up of expatriates or workers from around the world.  Singapore is the most wired country in the region and strives to be known as the technology hub of Asia.  Because of its geographical location, interns in Singapore can expect uniform temperatures and pressure, high humidity, and plentiful rainfall.

Internship Details

Interns at Amasia will:
