Mandatory health insurance is based on CHF 80 per month. All students are required to obtain mandatory health insurance for the duration their stay in Switzerland. Monthly premiums vary, however most students choose a health insurance plan that is between CHF 60 and CHF 80 per month. Students do not need to enroll in a Swiss health insurance plan prior to arrival in Switzerland. ETH will provide details regarding health insurance options during orientation, including the steps students must take to purchase health insurance. For additional details, please follow this link.
The flight expense listed above is the estimated cost of a round-trip ticket from the gateway city of Philadelphia to Geneva. However, you may depart from the city of your choice.
***Students may need to travel to a consulate to pick up their student visa. Additionally, students may need to arrange for a connecting flight to a gateway city. These are additional variable costs, to be calculated individually by the student.
