Cost Estimate Preparation: This cost estimate was prepared on October 11, 2017 for the Spring 2018 semester. These costs are approximations and are subject to change.

Lodging: Includes housing for semester and housing deposit. Does not cover orientation accommodation or mandatory 6-week homestay. These fees are included in the Program Fee.

Meals: No additional information. 

Personal Expenses: This estimate is meant to cover general expenses of college life, including additional course supplies, photocopying, toiletries, snacks, cell phone, etc. Personal expenses do not include any entertainment or vacation travel costs.

Local Transportation: Cost of monthly ticket at student price for duration of program.

Books and Supplies: No additional information. 

Additional Program Information: BCGS charges a $1,165 program fee. Within that program fee, there is a $500 nonrefundable deposit. If the student commits to the program, then decides not to enroll, they will be billed $500 by the University of Pennsylvania to cover the nonrefundable deposit. The remainder of the fee covers orientation housing, guest stay housing during the first 4 weeks of the program (which includes daily breakfast and one dinner a week), and a full year of German Health Insurance.
