The lodging and meals cost is the Duke University ICCS program fee, which includes room and 3 meals per day (Monday-Friday), academic costs for the program (including entrance fees for admission to sites and museums), and two week-long trips. "Meals out of Term" refers to meals purchased during the weekend.

Lodging deposit is a refundable security deposit at 150 Euros. This will be collected from students in Rome.

Students studying in Italy are requried to obtain a residency permit (permesso di soggiorno) shortly after they arrive on-site.  The cost listed above includes mandatory Italian national health insurance as well as the cost of the permesso.

The flight expense listed above is the estimated cost of a round trip ticket provided by Duke. Cost of airfare will vary depending on East or West Coast departure.

***Students living outside of their gateway city may need to arrange for a connecting flight at an additional variable cost, to be calculated individually by the student.
